He was signed to the fledgling Motown label in 1961 by label founder Berry Gordy and later that year he married Gordy's sister. He scored a total of 39 US Top 40 singles for the label including such classics as "Let's Get It On", "Ain't That Peculiar", "Inner City Blues", "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", "What's Going On" and of course "I Heard It Through The Grapevine", all of which are included on this DVD. Marvin Gaye died in 1984, shot by his father following an argument, and was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Fame in 1987.
